The Rochester Schools Modernization Program is recruiting minority and women-owned businesses to participate in a free training program that helps small companies sharpen their business vision, structure and operations to cultivate sustained growth. The Business Opportunities Program is administered by Savin Engineers, a New York State-Certified MBE, and managed by Travis Miller with coordination from Kim Mitchell. We sit down with Travis and Kim, along with Tarchia Powell, a recent graduate to learn more about this unique program.

The Afrikan American Festival is marking a milestone year and it keeps getting better. We sit down with festival creator Sonya Kittles and Entertainment Director, Grand Tone to hear what's in store.
